Andrew March

Andrew March is Associate Professor of Political Science at Yale University. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Oxford. He is the author of Islam and Liberal Citizenship (Ox-ford University Press, 2009). He has published articles on religion, liberalism and Islamic law in, amongst others, American Political Science Review, Philosophy & Public Affairs, Journal of Political Philosophy, Cardozo Law Review, and Islamic Law and Society. He is presently working on a book on the problem of sovereignty in modern Islamic thought, tentatively entitled The Caliphate of Man. He also works with the humanitarian professional organization PHAP on issues related to the Islamic laws of war and International Humanitarian Law (IHL).
