Dr. Osama Kadi, Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies


Osama Kadi is the founder and president of Syrian Center for Political and Strategic Studies SCPSS, a non-profit organization in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Kadi served as an adjunct professor for undergraduate students teaching macroeconomics and microeconomics at the Dearborn campuses of Davenport University and the University of Michigan. At Davenport, he works with the Corporate Services Department, and at the University of Michigan, for the Social Science-Economics Department. He also taught economics and business management for Baker College at Allen Park campus.

He was born in Aleppo, educated in Syria and the United State, and is a Canadian citizen. He works as an economic and an investment consultant.

Activities and professional associations underscore Dr. Kadi’s interests in media, economics, and politics. He was the first Arab member of the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

His memberships include: American Economic Association (AEA), Syrian Economic Science Association (SESA), Middle East Studies Association (MESA), Middle East Economic Association (MEEA), Middle East Institute (MEI), The Academy of Political Science (APS), Center for the Study of the Presidency in New York, Western Economic Association (California), International Executive Club (IEC), United Nations Association in Washington, DC, the American Sociological Association, also in Washington, DC, the American Association of University Professors )Washington, DC), and the Royal Economic Association (UK), The Canadian Association of Journalists.
