Dr Halim Rane, Griffith University, Australia

bio_HalimRaneDr Halim Rane has a Bachelor of Human Sciences degree in Sociology and Islamic Studies, a Master’s degree in Media Studies, and a PhD in International Relations. Dr Rane is currently the Deputy Director of the Griffith Islamic Research Unit and a Lecturer in the National Centre of Excellence in Islamic Studies Australia. He is the author of ‘Reconstructing Jihad amid Competing International Norms’ published by Palgrave Macmillan as well as the forthcoming book ‘Islam and the Australian News Media’ published by Melbourne University Press.
